This Privacy Notice explains how AiSq.xx ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of Buddy Bot, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data. AiSq.xx is the data controller of the personal data described below.

1. Personal data we collect

• Account data: email address, hashed password (or Google account identifier), account creation date.
• Support communications: messages you send to our support channels.
• Usage & telemetry: pages viewed, features used, error logs, approximate device and browser information, IP address.
• Chat content: messages you send to Buddy Bot are processed in real time to generate responses. Conversations are not persisted between sessions.
• Billing data: processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive limited data (subscription status, plan, renewal date, last-4 of card) but never full card details.

2. Purposes and legal bases

• Provide the service (contract): account creation, authentication, generating chat responses, subscription management.
• Security & fraud prevention (legitimate interests): abuse detection, rate limiting, incident investigation.
• Product improvement (legitimate interests): aggregate usage analytics.
• Customer support (contract / legitimate interests): responding to your inquiries.
• Legal compliance (legal obligation): tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests.

3. Data sharing

We share personal data only with:

• Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, authentication, and AI model providers used to run Buddy Bot.
• Payment processor: Stripe, Inc. processes card payments, subscription billing, and tax calculation on our behalf.
• Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and auditing professionals bound by confidentiality.
• Authorities: where required by law or to protect the safety of users.

We do not sell personal data.

4. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax, and security purposes, then deleted or anonymised. Chat messages are not stored between sessions. Billing records are retained by Stripe according to their policy and applicable law.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

6. International transfers

Personal data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege database policies — to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage for authentication and to remember your session. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Children

Buddy Bot is designed to support kids and teens. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, please use Buddy Bot with a parent or guardian who consents to our processing on your behalf.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
